Clinic cancellation script

Out of an abundance of caution, UW Health Specialty Care, including the UW Health Orthopedic Clinics, has been directed to minimize non-urgent face-to-face visits in order to support our ability to meet our patients’ urgent needs in the safest way possible, and more importantly, to help prevent the spread of respiratory illnesses such as COVID-19. We are doing this to protect your health, the health of all of our patients, our loved ones, and our staff.  We have been directed to adjust our outpatient specialty clinics such that only critically essential visits are completed in person.

In order to attempt to provide best care, we are asking some patients with non-urgent and/or routine visits to complete their appointments via telephone or telemedicine or to reschedule appointments to a later date.

I, along with our UW Health staff, will determine if it necessary to cancel, reschedule, or reassign your appointment for a telemedicine visit by phone.  You will be contacted directly for this purpose.  You can also choose to contact our UW Health *** Clinic directly to reschedule by calling ***, or by changing your appointment within UW Health MyChart.
